Nigeria Army Overruns Boko Haram, Takes Over Terrorist Camp

In its promise to restore peace and tranquility to the Northeastern part of Nigeria, the troops have destroyed more Boko Haram terrorists’ camps, rescued another set of women.

The Nigerian Army, in its ongoing counter-insurgency operations in parts of the Northeast, repelled an attempted invasion of a town in Borno State.
Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, said that the advancing troops of 154 Task Force Battalion of 29 Task Force Brigade cleared a Boko Haram terrorists’ camp at Matali, Damboa local government area (LGA) of Borno State.
The counter-attack took place on Tuesday, November 17.
This Day reports that during the operation, over thirty terrorists and three soldiers were killed while some weapons and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered.
In a statement made on Wednesday, November, 18 Usman also said that members of the jihadist group made spirited attempt to attack troops location using three VBIED at Mada which was successfully repelled.
He urged the Nigerian people to continue keeping faith with the army, as they are determined to see it that the insurgency becomes a thing of the past.
